Drowning
Moonlight floods into my eyes
As I fall to my knees to hush the cries
Thoughts so hurtful that I drown inside
as the churning hatred will not subside
uncertainty seeps into this pitch black haze
Cut deep into the memory I cannot erase
my mind taunts me with this dreaded existence
the pain and bitterness I cannot shake
these thoughts they’re so persistant
