Drowning

Exhausted with stress
Feeling the burdening weight
The sudden longing to decompress
Realizing his tired state

Unable to continue
Acknowledging the weakness
He struggled and knew
Sinking into the darkness

Gasping for air
Reaching for help
Letting his last breath be a prayer
No longer would he yelp

The waters consumed him
Others did their best
But he couldn’t swim
Now his body will rest

Too bad he did not realise air fills his lungs and all he had to do was turn around to float to the top . . . .
