Drowning

You're in life’s ocean for a swim
When waves of sadness come rolling in
Your whole world's been turned upside down
You're feeling like you're gonna drown.
You look around and all you see
Is miles and miles of deep blue sea
You cry for help, no one can hear
You reach out but no one's there.
You hold your breath as you roll with the waves
Determined this will not be your grave
You cry for help one more time
But it's no use- you're gonna die.
You sigh as you're pulled to the deep
You're falling into eternal sleep
You struggle to come up for air
And suddenly, there's someone there
They pull you up out of the water
And just like that, you're feeling better
For now, you know that you're ok
You lived to see another day.
