Drowning

The ocean pulled her under. She didn’t let out a scream. Instead she stared in wonder Imagining she was in a dream. Her body was floating and sinking; She was stuck somewhere in between. Water was entering her airway And she couldn’t help believing How lucky she was this day. To die in the deep blue The only place she’d known. This may have been a tragedy, But at least she was finally home.
