Drought
Adoption engraved in my blood ligaments and muscles
Broken but finding the pieces to the puzzle
The womb chewed me and spit me out
Became forever thirsty, never recovered from the drought
Placement was the easy part for little me
Running to find who, what I could be
This seed found water and prayed to sprout
Became forever thirsty, never recovered from the drought
Today I still run to search for belonging
leaving prints in the road like a drawing
Canvas paints what I Learned to live without
Became forever thirsty, never recovered from the drought
