Droplets of Wisdom
To be able to give
unconditional love
to someone
one must look inward
and ask...
"Do I love myself first?"
To decipher
the meaning of life
one must look outward
and ask two questions.
"Have I really lived?"
"What is my purpose for existing?"
To know ourselves better
inside out, outside in
we must look through the eyes
of others to see
our reflection;
forget the mirror!
To fully appreciate
the true value of anything
held dear, it must be lost
or be temporarily stripped away
funny how that works
but it's true.
To understand
what truly makes a man
one must see him
go through a baptism of fire,
stand in the eye of the storm
his faith and resolve
tested.
