Drop By Drop

Step by step His life was ordered
    from His birth to Calvary.
Step by step he walked among them
but His truth they would not see.
Day by day He loved and taught them
and revealed to them the Father.
Day by day He healed the hurting,
and He told the ,"Love each other."

On the way of Greif and Suffering
step by step He bore the Cross
To the Bloody Hill of Calvary,
step by step He paid the cost.
Step by step He shed His Blood,
    it slowly ebbed away
To pay the debt we owed for sin
    that we could never pay.

Drop by drop it washed away
    all sin we'd ever do.
Drop by drop it trickled down
    to cover me and you.
Drop by drop the Blood of Jesus
    flowed freely from the top
Of Calvary's tree, from God to me
    with forgiveness, drop by drop.
