Driving an old car

Prominent now are wrinkles on our skin,
signalling decay of organic form,
yet divine magnetism throbs deep within,
engulfing us in currents cool and warm,
conjuring magically a bliss storm.
We are light of Self, not this body-mind;
feel us as heart’s vibrance, loving and kind.
To navigate life, we dwell in this shell
but to truth of who we are, we’re not blind,
being no longer under ego’s spell.

Brilliant perspective. I enjoyed this. I could call it the advantage of learning over time. Unfortunately, some never learn and never attain that state of nirvana. They are as restless and nervous in their old years as they were in their youth ... sometimes moreso.

Yes, the key first recognition on the spiritual journey is that we are spirit eternal, not form ephemeral
