Dripping Failures

Dismissed from singing with
Admirable voices
It's a gloomy morning...
My distraught spirit
Sinks downward
Dripping failures drown
My music box -
My heart
No longer thumps with triumph,
Excitement,
Joyousness,
Delight...
My spirit
can't reach
heaven's height!
The High School Choir -
Crowded with
Cheerful students,
Releasing their
Positive mindsets
It upsets
My own soul...
And I envy their
Happy-go-lucky voices
They don't understand
Oh no...
They'll never know
Spewing out fascinating noises
Invigorating noises...
Amazing, mature voices
Reaches my fatigued ears...
They don't taste
My revolting fears...
They'll never see
The tears streaming down
My grimy face
They're too busy...
Running the race
Competing for praise and grace
Seeking the award...
while I jump off board...
They don't care if I die
Oh no!
No one cares to save me
From the waters that push me...
Drown me...
tug me...
drag me...
To and fro...
My sadness grows
And the wicked wind blows
As I helplessly drift away
Like the sunset murdering the day
Like the sunset greeting the night
As I plead...TAKE IT ALL AWAY!
TAKE ALL OF MY DISMAY...
I'd rather not deal with it today...
Or tomorrow...
That would bring in sorrow

Did it really feel like this? I know the feeling, but this was a desperately penned poem--emotive, but talented
