Drinks, Part Two

A toast to forever before the end Raise your glass to love because it really exists even after a broken heart has cried Let your thoughts blend with the music and your feet get carried away with the beat, Dance the night away and sing like nobody is there Tonight, drinks are on me and I hope we remember enough to not forgot that special moment, Every night has that unforgettable pause in time when one captures a special feeling and is able to hold it warmly in the mind I haven’t had one drink but I’m still drunk, intoxicated from love and it’s not toxic this time I like my space but I’d share my galaxy with you I like my space my space but I don’t mind if my words slur or run all together with you This is a good kind of anxiety Talking about drinks did someone slip something in my tea? Not much of a drinker but her love is on the rocks from a dirty past And I’m an alcoholic just trying not to make those tense emotions in the future She’s falling from the rocks but I’ll swim to her rescue I’m drunk, a drunk superhero, no guns needed my hand never cocked I know you’ve given me a few shots, but this one is the game winner and I’m so clutch When we go out, I’m masculine enough to hold your clutch Let’s shift gears and turn up, take your hand off the clutch This day will only happen once Upon a time, you be the queen and I’ll be your king No drinks at the wedding because it was way too expensive No drinks at the wedding because her love is expensive I’m forever in her debt No drinks at the wedding but I’m drunk swimming through our love story depths We may be off balance at times but you always get us back on track No need to race to the end, lets move in slow motion from the back All the way to whatever the future holds Your hand I’ll forever hold Don’t drink much but tonight the celebration is bold p.s. don’t drink much but I’ll have another cup of your love…
