Drink Thy Own Water From Your Cistern

"Drink thy own water from your cistern" Bible- Proverbs 5:15 Drink water from your own cistern Let your fountain be your concern Leave not your wife ever. Rejoice in the wife of your youth A loving doe, svelte deer in truth Leave not your wife ever. Don’t get attached with someone’s wife Embrace not other’s wives in life Be with your wife ever. Your water streams be yours alone Share not, may fountain be your own. Drink thy own water ever. Your ways, in full view of the Lord Your deeds and paths are recorded Drink thy own water ever. +++ August 17, 2014 Form: Tail-Rhyme

I quite like what you did with that Bible quote. Don't even recall that scripture. you chose a nice form for it. In first stanza , just say concern (not concerned).

Doc, thanks for stopping by, you are welcome, always! This fine poem is the keystone to the measure of a communities' health...sorely lacking in USA as the nightly propaganda news reveals...jimbo
