Drink Is My Friend

Every drink seems to taste bitter sweet
Throat a flame with roaring heat
Glasses lined up like soldiers on parade
Filled with chemicals that react like a grenade
The smell of alcohol stained seats
The advertising light flashing into the streets
These drinks are my friends
Loyal to me until the end
I drink here every night on my own
This is my home from home
