Drifting
Drifting toward slumber watching you sleep
Eyes closed preparing to take me down deep
The sudden realization that you're really not here
Eyes now awake that old familiar fear
Wondering where you are but knowing full well
you're sitting in a crack house, I hear the door bell
Jumping out of bed, running toward the door
roll over in bed and I hit the floor
Just another nightmare as I turn to look at you
or is it I wonder as I watch you untie your shoe
