Dreams On Fire

In the twilight shades of evening
I lay with you at my side
we drift on endless streams
crossing over  bridges
walking down unknown roads
 moon peeks out from drifting clouds
 as flames of desire climb higher

We drift along the shallow waters
Sailing away on streams of desire
Higher and higher dreams are on fire
our dreams are on fire

The flames are burning less brightly
 there is a change coming over us
look what it has done to you
see what it has done to me
we have become like strangers
 flames flicker burning less bright
dreams no longer fill the morning light

We drift along the shallow waters
