Dreams of Iguacu
A cloud, a drop, a puddle, a stream
A river that drifts into a dream
As the water crests the curtain is drawn
A cascade of froth flows forever on
The breeze and spray swirl and sway
Like a gentle samba on a summer day
Butterflies dance from flower to tree
A journey of pure joy, forever free
A rainbow reaches up towards the sky
And colours a toucan as it passes by
Red, yellow, orange, blue
Tell me can this dream be true
Amidst the roar a silenced stride
Alone in solitude at cliff’s side
Escaping from stresses far away
Immersed in nature for a short stay
If carried away on a boat below
I wonder where that journey might go
But I know one day I must return here
To share this dream with one more dear
With humble heart too long concealed
May that one true love be revealed
Clouded memories drift with the mist
And take me back to that time of bliss
Dreams persist, I can’t resist
Thoughts of Iguacu with you
