Dreams of Him

I was awakened by the fear that took place
At the glance of a stranger's face
When shots fired from a grey jacket
With the hoodie over their undefined features
Came flying my way
To a target well planned out
I had no clue it would turn
 to being you
In that brief moment
you took my breath away
Unlike anytime before
This was different
This was cold
I am afraid to tell others
For they will not feel the same as I did
Destroyed in my own mind from
Something I showed myself
Still captured in my cage
Still mentally unaware
You promised a forever
Until forever wasn't
no longer
 there

Fundiswa, I believe most of us on this site love our pens, anyway, you do, and I certainly do, and I know we are not alone here. It is amazing how thoughts we can never show fling themselves down on our paper when we least expect them.
