Dreams Have Sails

My dreams have sails, filled by the
winds of love. Borne on emotional
tides, they silhouette against the
suns last call. And as the horizon
sips the last of light, the dark cups
and caresses this heart. The dream
scans the night sky for that one star,
that guiding star of destiny. Sails
billow on undying love, and reach
for that portal where all is realized.
The dream melts with reality, and
the heart sings of joy. This far off
land where the painters brush sees
all, and the poets words softly lie
in truth. Where the beating heart
echoes of my lovers call, and the
kiss will sleep my aching soul.
