Dreams Fall Apart

Lies, entangled in a web of deceit: culminate in anger and self-defeat. For walls erected to shield you from pain; unintentionally blocked love's refrain. Love demands patience; there is no shortcut: even if it leaves a knot in your gut. And doubt keeps anxieties well-nourished; devastating dreams where hope once flourished. When egos insist on what cannot be, emotions are imprisoned with no key. For as fears increase, nerves get tightly wound, and though you search for love, it can't be found. Betrayal means cutting the bonds of trust labeling love, an extension of lust. And overwhelmed by tears, dreams fall apart, as a barrage of feelings breaks your heart.
