Dreams

Sluggish eyes slowly open
Blurry vision begins to
Focus
Mind trying to go back
in time
Fast forward but needs
to rewind
Thoughts of a dream start
streaming through
Back to sleep is what I
want to do
Take me back to where I
left in time 
The dream of happiness 
I have to find 
I had found great love 
I wish to come true
Come back to me I need
you to
The sands of the beach upon
my feet
The beautiful views I want
to seek
The moon was large and the
stars were out 
Laughter and music played
as we ran about
I close my eyes and wish
to travel back there
Just a few more minutes 
is all I care
Dreams come true I've heard
it said
I snuggle my pillow and 
cover my head
Its a journey through time 
and life you see
Come take me back where 
I want to be
