Dreams
I dream of you
dreaming of me
Hoping we can dream together
In an astral rhapsody
I fall asleep
and take a magic carpet ride
I decide to wait for you by milky way's dusty light
You meet me here and gingerly nuzzle by my side
In low tones we speak of how we've met in dreams before
but were afraid to reveal how conscious minds were aware
We mutually exhale our relief, and attempt to comprehend
that the unfathomable power of our minds is beyond compare
We journey to Venus and reflect beneath it's brilliant luster
Then off to Saturn, to marvel at it's misty grey rings
We gently spoon under our own planet's blue moon
While the Earth pulls at our exposed heartstrings
Saying goodnight, as we hover above Earth
Spirits bathe in satiny moon beams
Suspended animation, or so it seems
A trance of romance, with the man of my dreams
