Dreamlover

I just want to lie there,
Sleeping, resting all day.

Why? Because the real world is such a scare.
I’d much rather keep such a fear at bay.

The bed is like a comforting hug,
An embrace only the kindest of hearts would give, warmingly cohesive.

The real world is such a bug.
It’s full of pain, it’s like an adhesive.

You’ll try and try, but it won’t come off,
You’re stuck on the pain like glue to a broken toy.

So don’t you dare try to scoff,
Hide away like me, and live in silent, calm joy.
