Dreaming of You

I dreamed last night the world was mine again,
That you were once more pressed against my side,
A fire burning brightly in the hearth,
The light of which allowed no place to hide.

We said no words, transfixed by dancing flames,
Then as we watched it fade to just the embers,
You turned to me with eyes that I adore,
And looked at me the way my heart remembers.
