Dreaming of the Ex
I dreamt about my ex last night
what she meant no sex in mind
I never thought about our life
left it flat behind no rewind
It felt as though she didn’t care
as our time went on together
that is why I left it there
no looking back whatever
Once I was so very smitten
on my mind and my whole life
guess what makes it hard hitting
one time wanted her my wife
I ended it and walked away
after damage of her making
no thought to ever stay
no question if mistaken
In my dream she failed to satisfy
just as she did in life
went from an interest in my eye
to only pain and strife
How could she make me happy
to walk away and numb
I guess that's the way love be
it starts and then it’s done.
