Dreaming God
Dreaming God
Life is just an immortal dream
The twisted thoughts of a sleeping god
And in this dream our lies are truth
And this truth but a facade
A brightly colored ethereal mist
Ephemeral visions within his mind
In sleep, within us, God exists
But we shall wake with time
Are we alive
Then what of dreams
Forgotten visions
Hollow screams
Distant lands that turn to dust
As dawn breaks so too dreamland must
When night draws day a star is born
And new life stands where old was torn
Eternal rest is for the dead
So if God wakes will we sleep instead
