Dreaming Forever

Lying here feeling our breath together

Do you think we could live in this moment forever?

Feeling your heartbeat, sweetly dreaming

Tears down my cheek, gently streaming

Closing my eyes, all I see is you

Were you ever here, is it really true?

My visions elude my mind’s eye

Still I close my eyes and try

My hand stretched out, my heart forever beating

You’re just out of reach, feeling your soul retreating

Hope hangs on, then fades to gray

Illusions resurface as I begin to pray

Please come back, my life is so lost

I need you here, but at what cost?

So now I close my eyes again

And face reality as this dream comes to an end….
