Dreamer

I close my eyes, the world fades away
Unicorns leap, fawns jump and play
 Elven Kings and fairy queens.
They all appear in my night time dreams

Ogres and trolls they appear too
But knights of old simply run them through
 Witches brooms and dragon’s wings
Fly through the air as the sirens sing.

Castles of white, the homes of the brave
Those who venture on quests in the deep dank caves.
The darkness so black where the nightmares dwell.
Creatures from hades that rise up from hell.

Far off lands in the rainbow sky
Golden doves soar in the heavens high.
 alongside the phoenix, plumage afire
I wish this was real my one heart’s desire.

I awaken from this beautiful dream
Consciousness beckons back to reality it would seem
My lands of rainbows and unicorns gone
The fading of the siren’s song.

I cant wait for sleep to come once more
This time on my winged horse, up high I’ll soar
I shall Fly above those lands of green
The beautiful home of Elven kings and Fairy queens
