Dream Theme

I fell into a dream
long before falling asleep
stunned by its theme
of secrets I keep
          old tattered diaries
          littered a twisted road
          hundreds of entries
          all written in code
I picked up one
it changed the dream
a new scene begun
with an old theme
         my secret fears
         paved the road
         puddles of tears
         reflections showed
a single reflection
stepped out of a puddle
pointed the direction…
then asleep I fell
         and within a moment awoke
         struggling in a daze
         removing my cloak
         lifted the haze

Another well written poem, Christy. I never had a diary but I live in a dream:)

I have these moments, these dreams of past encounters, little secrets that somehow have stood time. This was nice Christy. I truly love you style of writing. You are one of a kind.
