Dream State

the sky was lavender
the sea was red
the screams of terror
throughout the land
piercing cries of misfortune
sobs of death ringout
for all to hear
even those who choose not to
like a song on the radio
neverending craziness
i awaken witha gasp
did it all really happen?
was it all as real as it seamed?
or was it a nightmare?
traped in a trance
in the dream state
i later find
with a shudder of horror
that it ws all true,
a holocaust of death
the smell of blood coppery in my nose
as the last man dies
infront of an army of the liveing dead
his once fellow sholdiers
anxiously awaiting their last meal
