Dream Peeper
I stand here in someone's dream,
a pleasant way to spend the night.
All my dreams have boring themes,
for them to share seems only right.
Would it be considered wrong,
to jump aboard their train?
Just one night to tag along,
to take a ride in someone's brain.
Looking out of windows strange,
at a different point of view.
Could this help to rearrange,
help to make a vision new?
If they wake and find me there,
in the middle of their mind.
Their dream now a nightmare,
a horrible thing to wake and find.
I've decided to stay at home,
not covet the dreams of others.
Only dreaming dreams I own,
while I lay beneath my covers.
