Dream On

Loaded like a gun, about to fire away and I’ve become numb inside
Sugarcoated in lullabies and lies today…in the shadows, I simply hide
Wish I wasn’t so sober, but I cherish my progress quite well
The dungeons of loneliness is where I dwell, dwell, dwell

But, I want you to dream on and on and on
I want you to shine like the arrival of the dawn

Dream on until you travel forward
Never, ever go backward without a word
Tell someone how you feel for real
Honestly, I am feeling like an absurd bird
Dream on and take wing with the herd
I heard you’re also lonesome in your skin
Where do I begin? So, when will I wear my skin thin instead of thick with sorrow within?
Dream on until you grieve no more
I don’t deserve you, the one I adore

They’re all living a dream…graciously been glory-whelmed, it’s crazy
We’re still together in my mind and sooner or later, I’m going to live abundantly
We are a mighty strange team and you’re a shiny beam above
But, I no longer feel left behind while I cuddle with your love

But, I want you to dream on and on and on
I want you to shine like the arrival of the dawn

Dream on until you travel forward
Never, ever go backward without a word
Tell someone how you feel for real
Honestly, I am feeling like an absurd bird

But, I want you to dream on and on and on
I want you to shine like the arrival of the dawn

Dream on until you travel forward
Never, ever go backward without a word
Tell someone how you feel for real
Honestly, I am feeling like an absurd bird
Dream on and take wing with the herd
I heard you’re also lonesome in your skin
Where do I begin? So, when will I wear my skin thin instead of thick with sorrow within?
Dream on until you grieve no more
I don’t deserve you, the one I adore

Dream on and take wing with the herd
I have perseverance and strength I preserved
Inside me, inside me
What about you, baby?

But, I want you to dream on and on and on
I want you to shine like the arrival of the dawn

Dream on until you travel forward
Never, ever go backward without a word
Tell someone how you feel for real
Honestly, I am feeling like an absurd bird
Dream on and take wing with the herd
I heard you’re also lonesome in your skin
Where do I begin? So, when will I wear my skin thin instead of thick with sorrow within?
Dream on until you grieve no more
I don’t deserve you, the one I adore

I heard you’re also lonesome in your skin
Where do I begin? So, when will I wear my skin thin instead of thick with sorrow within?
Dream on until you grieve no more
I don’t deserve you, the one I adore

Even though I’m so used to being alone,
I won’t live without you mentally and emotionally
Even though I’m better off on my own,
I don’t have to worry because I cherish you eternally

But, I want you to dream on and on and on
I want you to shine like the arrival of the dawn

Dream on until you travel forward
Never, ever go backward without a word
Tell someone how you feel for real
Honestly, I am feeling like an absurd bird
Dream on and take wing with the herd
I heard you’re also lonesome in your skin
Where do I begin? So, when will I wear my skin thin instead of thick with sorrow within?
Dream on until you grieve no more
I don’t deserve you, the one I adore

Living life in a blur it seems
Dream on, even in your dreams
Giving strife a middle finger
Because I’m a great singer
Confidence is in my stride
Even though you don’t abide by my side
Subside from my side, negativity
Aside from that, I reveal my positivity
With eyes wide open or shut,
I will remain huddled in my hut
I pray You’ll save me
I embrace true liberty
