Dream On
Charles worked in an office
He was a punctual man
He was very ambitious
And always had a plan
To climb the social ladder
To reach the top of the tree
He trusted he would soon
Own the Company
That he worked for
Of this, he had no doubt
He was very clever
And had lots of clout
He did all he could
To try to reach these goals
Then all that he had planned
Fell into a million holes
He got the news this morning
That his boss was dead
He had died quite suddenly
He had fallen on his head
Then, of course, the next thing
Was the reading of the will
When this was over
Charles's head was spinning still
Everyone expected
Charles would get a sum
Of money
So that he would run
The office
But this was not to be
The boss had left the Company
To a girl-friend in Paree!
