Dream Cryer

Some times when I cry the sound can not escape
Like the screams from a prey coiled by a snake

I try to release the anguish and I try to vent the pain
but the clouds of my emotions refuse to exude the rain

As I gasp for the wind that has already left
The squeeze from the serpent tightens with every breath

But only in my dreams can my tears be released
and the sadness in my heart can finally sense the peace

So you're emotional too, I guess I knew that as all your verse gives the reader a look inside of you. The pain in this one is easily felt John.

I must tell you there have been so many diverse poems shared here at PoetrySoup yesterday and this morning that I am just now being able to read. Each one is a treasure to the poet who wrote it. It is a pleasure to me to be able to read them. I am so happy yours was among the ones I have read today Joyce. Love, Carol
