Notes About The Poem

When you lie down and dream of the love you have, you are living a dream come true.

Dream Come True

DREAM COME TRUE

When you saw me, you entered my world
Our eyes met despite the crowd,
No words came across your very lips,
Yet I heard your heart aloud,

I tried to wear my pretentious mask,
A mere cloak of transparency,
But no disguise could hide my taken heart,
As your silence spoke loud to me.

Love’s grasp, could not I deny,
My fears subdued with fervent kisses
A proposal, our words, our vows applied,
Now wedded a Mr. and Mrs.

Riveting moments, unspeakable memories,
Our children, our photos of joys and tears
Wanting my dream to carry on,
For a lifetime of countless years.

I awakened to find it all a dream,
Unfolding in my head;
But then I found you next to me.
Sleeping in my bed.

‘Twas not just a vivid dream,
Reliving the years with you,
Whether awake or sleeping, not just a dream
You are my dream come true
