Dream

It starts with a dream. 
It starts with the inner motivation to succeed, 
the inner heart to prosper, 
the inner power to shine. 
It starts with a dream. 

To shine above all the darkness, 
To prosper in the midst of downfall, 
To succeed among failure, 
It all starts with a dream. 

The journey of life, 
full of obstacles and detours, 
where without the guiding light, 
evil penetrates our soul, 
and our hearts die slow, 
and our minds drift to the unknown, 
the oblivion full of earthly desires, 
where the devil clocks double shift on all of his jobs. 

On this end our souls crumble, 
we give in and lose it all. 

But the Lord gave me the light, 
to shine among the dark,
to stand my ground and firm my feet, 
that I will not stumble nor fall, 
nor hold that thought in my soul, 
rather I will illuminate the dark, 
and he will make me whole, 
once more.
