Dream

I dream of people who float
 whenever they are mad.
 I wouldn’t want to float
 only when I feel bad.
 It was at a wedding,
and the bride got mad at her groom,
who loudly admitted he was heading
 out to commit fraud soon.
 People started to stand
and comment at this strange sight.
I don't remember if she ever did land.
I suppose I left out of fright!

I dream of people and animals
 that I’ve known before.
 All of them were mammals,
though I’ve never really thought of it before.

My dreams are like ice creams,
like dances and dresses and dallying streams,
like dairy bars dangling flavors of things,
like stories with riddles and rhymes and rings.

I dream of fun,
 all the night through.
 It’s all just begun,
because I have living to do.
