Dream

Have you ever gone flying at night, Oh yes, I have flown away, It was a dream. I went up to heaven, Touching the huge golden gates, Voices said, not yet, so away I spun. Oh, heavenly night, Of black ebony velvet, With all your brilliant stars, Hanging like diamonds above, I danced and swirled with all the dazzling stars, The big and the little ones, I even played with some stars called shooting, Among the stars I drifted, I like being part of the vast black, Some stars were new and some were old and aged, Oh, heavenly night, Of black ebony velvet, With all your brilliant stars, Hanging like diamonds above, I was wrapped in a night time cloak, With star diamonds in my hair, And I was beautiful. But when sun peeped over, Moon said, go home sweet girl, So I floated down till' I heard the first bird chitter. Oh, heavenly night, Of black ebony velvet, Hanging like diamonds above.
