Draw the Line

Close the mouth, open the mind
and let the pen draw the line.

Raise the eyes, lower the fist
and let all wars go unmissed.

Winners of foolish battles gain no prize
nor any admiration from the wise.

Let peace reign, let conflicts resolve
the heart shall then grow and evolve.

Close the mouth, open the mind
and let the pen draw the line.

What lovely lines you've put down, contained within the bookends of first and last that couldn't say more, if you had room for volumes.

Yes, the pen is mightier, but words can also ignite wars if we are not careful... Your kind comments are always appreciated, Nette. Thank you!

Yes, he could've written some explosive poetry with that pen! :) ... Just writing something is better than voicing an opinion or picking a fight with someone... I always appreciate your comments, Arthur. Thank you!
