The Whiskey Taster’s Flavor Guide

Draw Our Breath

If I could tell the truth, in a way, the world could truly see,
I would have to start, how much God loves you and me.
Many people don’t believe, but once, neither did I,
Jesus did come, and for us He did die.
Yet greater, He arose on the third day,
as He holds the keys to life and death, therefore making way.
Our own thoughts, feelings, and emotions, inward lies the sin,
when we practice to deceive, we’re never gonna win.
When we choose to lie, we deceive,
what we wish on others, is what we receive.
The words we speak, brings forth life, or death,
from where we speak, we surly draw our breath.
Those thing’s that we allow, to hide in the heart,
in death to us, does it impart.
Thoughts, feelings, and emotions, is our spiritual side,
don’t believe me, take a look inside.
Those stings, that begin to build up in the heart you see,
has its own way of judging both you and me.
Many will not agree, in these words I write,
many are not looking for a guiding light.
But, to each to his own, we stand accountable for the things we do,
for many are called, yet there will only be, a chosen few.
I hope I have accomplished, what I set down to write,
to shine some truth, to be seen through the night.
