Drama of Life

If at dusk sad despair Could turn to happiness And hearts, broken beyond repair Could be healed with kindness Then let us rejoice but remember the sad-truth message of life: That time is given for calm and for strife. The clouds above are old, But were once very young So shall tales of infancy be told; Songs which about our ears were sung -- The petite dream and the drama of life Are nothing but but visions of peace and strife. Flowers from a book are the treasure Of a new-born curious mind To the adults they are a pleasure That should not be forgotten or left behind. Should we look both ways, we remember That disappointments and delights of life Are like a play performed on the stage of life.
