Dragonfly
DRAGON FLY:
I was sitting in my sunroom
Glancing at the sky
When I noticed on my window screen
There was a big old dragonfly
I opened up my window
So that I could set him free
But he just stayed there humming
As if he'd say to me
I see you Mr. Human
You're thoughtful and so kind
But I think I'll watch the sunset
That is, of course if you don't mind
So I fetched a spoon of water
And I got a crumb of bread
And I put it on my window sill
Before I went to bed
When I woke up in the morning
The dragonfly was free
And beside the spoon there was a note
It said, thank you, to me.
