Dr Faustus

Dr Faustus signed a pact Not realising the fact That great magical aspirations Are only mental formations To the devil he gave his soul Who did not fulfill his role And laughed in his lair While Faustus was in despair He disintegrated mentally by leaving god completely He wished for his own destruction To once again gain salvation To God at last he raised his hands To ask for grace and forgiveness This poem Was inspired by the play 'Dr. Faustus' by Christopher Marlowe
