Down the Road To Freedom
In the still of the dark night
I’ll head down the lonely highway
With the cars, and their bright lights;
Onto the road, of freedom.
With the man in the moon
Looking down, and laughing at me
I’ll keep on roaming up until noon;
Then I’ll rest, under the bright sun.
So now was the time I had to go
Fly off somewhere and spread my wings
To a place no one ever knows;
And find some peace, among my inner thoughts.
