You're oblivious
to reality
like a butterfly
flying so carefree
you walk with a smile
and seem unaware
of the pain, you leave
it’s like I’m not there.
You keep your eyes shut
for within your dreams
ignorance is bliss
and you hear no screams
as you seek rainbows
in a veil of tears
playing deaf and dumb
or so it appears.
Feigning innocence
and acting naive
your treatment of me
is hard to believe
so skip right along
down the primrose path
while I scrape you off
soaking in a bath.
