Down the Line

There Was a Time You Told Me
Not So Long Ago
You'd Love Me for Forever
Our Love Would Always Grow

I Don't Know How it Happened
Somewhere down the Line
We Hit a Real Snag
Now You're No Longer Mine

I Guess It's for the Best
If We Didn't Really Care
We Wouldn't Make it Anyway
The Love Was Just Not There

I Guess There Is a Lesson Here
If I Look down Deep
Unless the Love Is Shared
The Mountain Is Too Steep

So You Go Your Way
And I'll Go Mine
Maybe We'll Find Love
Somewhere....Down the Line
