Down In the Valley

yeah,i've been down in the bottom of the valley
down in the depths of darkness in the devils dirtiest alleys
i've seen demons rally while destroying our dreams
i've heard sad ones cry and frightened ones scream

yeah,i've been down in the bottom of the valley...
down in the valley of fortified fears, endless tears, wicked cheers, and wasted years
i've been stalked by scarecrows of hate and shadows of death...
every moment of madness slowly stealing my breath

yeah,i've been down in the bottom of the valley and i don't wanna go back
evil ones attack, still i stay on Gods lighted and narrow path
on a wing and a prayer i climb those steep long stairs while the wicked bring wrath
i've been down in the bottom of the valley...
now there's no turning back

no more twisting and turning bending and burning
i'm gonna look,i'm gonna listen,and i'm always learning
eternal prize in the sky my heart keeps yearning
the valley is behind me
the cross is now before me
no weapon formed against me can ever destroy me
because i live in the lights on those heavenly heights

yeah,i've been down in the bottom of the valley...
and that's the end of that night
