Down Here.

I thought I'd might be able to do it
I thought I would bring all seven together I did
in 83 my mom...the last time had it
I've done a lot since she passed not expected
December of 1983 will always be
It was her moment her time we all stood together
a mother and her kids how it should be
2009 and what I hoped I could do I know forever
I remember how she use to say "some day"
together we would be as one once again
not even as we lay-ed her to rest on that June day
mom never seen her kids all together again
I guess I could stop hoping to see what she never did
brothers and sisters side by side as her family
now as I once seen I could fill her heart as she did
broken from what should be broken do to family
Mom this I say as I hold my glass to you
I tried I really did my best I hope I'm not letting you down
but working on getting them all together for you
as you did here don't wait for up above you shouldn't be let down.
