Down By the Water

Down by the water
'midst rocky shores
I waited for someone
I waited all night long

Down by the water
at the door to the sea
watching waves form
crash then recede

Down by the water
I want to go see
it's murky innards
which lay beneath
maybe God's hand
could pull this curtain aside
like Moses in the bible
with a bloody red tide

Down by the water
I went to go see
someone I knew
but did not know me.

This is great! Wonderful rhythm, an eeriness, and an excellent unsettling end.
