Doubts

You would never have to ask why if you let people explain
But when you’re hurt you take it out on me so you’re not the only one who feels pain
I lend my hand, my heart and my ear
Willing to do anything for you even face my worst fear
But every time my heart is sincere
You smack me in the face and I wonder why am I here?
I got deep doubts that you’re intending to hurt me
And I’m trying not to put you before me
I wish you could just read my mind
I want us to proceed side by side
But your anger against others makes you doubt me and want to leave me behind
I sit here and take everything you throw at me
And I excuse it because I want us to be happy
