Dothnie, a Reprise

Someone read Omar Khayyam today I shuddered and wiped a tear away But could not resist the memory then You and I together reading him, friend It was you who first told me I am good And read excitedly the volumed page I watched you, but never understood What about my poems was such a rage O someone read Omar Khayyam today And sorrow like us walking along the bay Came up in sprays of pain and drifted on My lost forgotten love, my high horizon.
