Dormant Angel

I know we can’t take it back
all the things we said

Everything we had
Everything we meant

I told you I’d love you forever
Isn’t that something
But im struggling here
Wanting to let you go

You meant the world to me
You meant everything to me
Set my heart on fire
How I felt love for the first time
How you made me believe

Then you,
You walked away
From everything we had
And I see how hard it was
It was all planned out
‘Just you and me’
now all we had is history

If I could take it all back I would
Every last word
Everything that hurt
I’m sorry for all the lies you made me believe
Its time for me to release
And set my heart free

If you believe this is not the end
And all we’ll ever be is friends
I’ll let you know one thing inside
This is not who I am
So sorry
Goodbye

Now you held my hand
My world in your hands
Is it really true
Is this the end
Im off and away
On my jet plane
To see if you love me
And want me to stay

Then you,
You walked away
From everything we had
And I see how hard it was
It was all planned out
‘Just you and me’
Now all we had is history

If I could take it all back I would
Every last word
Everything that hurt
I’m sorry for all the lies you made me believe
Its time for me to release
And set my heart free
